About my blog

A month ago or so it just came into my mind that millions of women worldwide have the same problem which is not accepted to discuss in public. I am speaking about one of the most widespread female disorders – premenstrual syndrome and its severe form, premenstrual dysphoric disorder. What really amazes me is that most of women who experience PMS think it is natural process that doesn’t require any medical therapy. That is why I decided to create a blog about PMS, to make the information available for all comers.

I am Mahika Ratti, I came to the USA from India about ten years ago. For the time being I have been working as a nurse at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, Pittsburgh for 7 years. Every day I am touching with various women’s health problems, trying to help people with various disorders. The percentage of women coming to the hospital to consult a doctor about PMS is much more than a half of all visitors.

The medical reports show that they feel constant discomfort for years, and only when the situation turns unbearable, women decide to get medical assistance. This is wrong, as such things as premenstrual syndrome can be effectively healed up, and there is no sense to suffer from pain and depression. That is why I consider it to be my duty to share my knowledge about PMS in common words, so that everybody would understand the nature of this syndrome and will be well aware of possible therapies.

During my 7-years experience I have gathered lots of knowledge and my own researches on the topic of PMS. At first it was my personal problem, and I tried various methods of therapy to overcome it. When I have done this and felt great relief after long years of tortures, I began to study PMS as a scientist. I found out lots of traditional and alternative ways of PMS treatment that can be used individually in every single case.

Here in my blog I will describe you everything I know about special medicines, dietary food additives and herbal medications that can be used to relief the symptoms of  PMS. I will try to be maximally correct from the medical point of view, but my reports will be in more common language with each term explained clear to everyone.

If something interests you personally and you haven’t found the answer in my articles, please ask my personal advice. Your feedback will help me to find out what else I need to tell here.

I hope my blog will be interesting and helpful for you!
